Sound attenuators /silencers are used in HVAC systems to help absorb noise that is generated by fans or other air moving equipment. Attenuators can also be used to prevent cross-over noise between rooms, such as conference rooms or toilet rooms. All attenuators (casings & Splitters) are constructed of galvanized sheet metal 20 gauge minimum. Casings are formed with lock-formed seams with duct sealant (complied with SMACNA standards). Other casing materials like Stainless steel are also available upon request. The splitters contain acoustic infill has rock wool concealed behind the galvanized perforated sheet, the splitters have radius end at the airflow direction to minimize air pressure loss and regenerated noise. Sound Attenuators are available in Square, Rectangular & Circular, they can be fabricated as straight, reduced, and elbowed ducts.
